About VenueSpine

VenueSpine is one platform for running venues, bars, restaurants, hotels and caterers, built behind a bar rather than in a boardroom.

Why did we build it?

VenueSpine started inside a working venue, not inside a pitch deck. The problem was ordinary and everywhere: an enquiry in an inbox, a quote in a spreadsheet, a seating plan redrawn every show, ticket sales in one system, the guest list in another, the bar on a till that knew nothing about any of it, and a Monday morning spent adding it all up.

Every product on offer solved one slice and handed back a new export to reconcile. So we built the thing we wanted: one platform where an event exists once, and seating, staffing, stock, the door, the invoice and the report all reference the same record.

This is the UK edition: pounds sterling, VAT, UK dates and UK spelling. Currency and locale are settings rather than assumptions baked into the code, so a group with a venue abroad runs it the same way.

See what we built

What do we hold to?

  • Operators first

Every feature came from someone running a venue at 23:00 with a queue at the door. If it does not survive a busy Saturday, it does not ship.

  • One record, everywhere

The reason integrations hurt is that the same thing exists twice. We would rather build the module than reconcile two copies of your event.

  • Honest with your data

Your data kept apart from everyone else’s, changes on the record, consent you can evidence, and reporting that refuses to invent a total it cannot justify.

  • Answerable

A small team you can actually reach. No ticket queue three time zones away, no account manager who has never seen a floor plan.

How did we get here?

  1. The start

    One venue, one problem

Built for a single live-music and theatre venue that needed events, seating and a bar to stop contradicting each other.

  2. Multi-account

From one venue to a portfolio

One venue became an organisation with many venues, each set up its own way under one login.

  3. Selling online

    Storefront, seat maps and payments

A booking site builder, reserved seating with live availability, a seat map for any website and card checkout.

  4. Companion apps

The till and the door left the building

PosSync and ScannerSync became apps of their own, on the devices that use them, trading and scanning through a dropped connection.

  5. Now

One platform, and sites built on it

AI that turns questions into reports, Milestones that connect business changes to what happened next, the companion apps, and a public API that guest-facing sites and apps are already built on.

Can I buy it in the UK yet?

Not just yet. VenueSpine is not on general sale in the UK, and we are not reselling it through anyone else. What we are doing now is talking to UK venues: answering enquiries, running demos against your own kind of event, and telling you when you can sign up.

The prices on the pricing page are what we expect to charge, in pounds and before VAT, so you can judge the fit before you spend an hour with us.

Who is behind VenueSpine?

VenueSpine was founded by Aiden Hemmings, who is based in South Africa. Alan Hemmings looks after VenueSpine in the United Kingdom. PosSync and ScannerSync, the till and the door apps, come from the same team.
